Advanced Level Apprenticeship: Trainee Laboratory Technician / Research Assistant

Vacancy Description: IOTA NanoSolutions specialises in the formulation and production of organic nanoparticles predominantly for the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries.  The successful candidate will join our team of scientists working to develop new formulations for active ingredients provided by our industry partners.

 

You will be given training in all company health and safety procedures, in addition to learning the company’s proprietary technology for the formulation of nanoparticles.  The training will include the use of process manufacturing equipment as well as analytical techniques to ensure that the formulations confirm to minimum quality standards.

 

You will work with a senior scientist on project(s) feeding directly into our partners testing regimen and will be expected to contribute to presentation updates and reports on the formulation development carried out.  You will be expected to contribute to the day-to-day running of a research laboratory.

 

Qualifications required:  Minimum of 5 GCSEs, Grade C or above.  Preferable English, Maths, ICT and Science (Chemistry)

    Working Week:  37.5 hrs.  Typical hours Mon-Fri 9:00 to 5:00
